Hog Share - Heritage Duroc Excellence

Experience the rich, marbled pork your grandparents remembered with our Heritage Duroc hog shares. Raised year-round on pasture with show-quality genetics, our pigs deliver superior flavor and the deeper red color that comes from traditional breeding – the same pork we proudly serve our own family.

Share Options:

Whole Share: ~190 lbs | $800 deposit, $1,687 total
Half Share: ~95 lbs | $400 deposit, $874 total

How the Process Works:

Pay your deposit to reserve your share, then we'll help you select your animal and submit cut instructions to our trusted USDA processor. We typically schedule harvest dates several times during the season once you place your order we will reach our and let you know your dates. Processing takes 4-6 weeks (including bacon and ham curing), after which you pay the remaining balance and pick up your pork at our farm. We handle all coordination with the processor – you just choose your cuts and collect your premium pork.

Your Share Breakdown (Whole Share Example):

  • Ham (24%): ~46 lbs - Fresh hams, ham steaks, and cured/smoked hams
  • Loin (20%): ~38 lbs - Pork chops, tenderloin, baby back ribs, and loin roasts
  • Shoulder (27%): ~51 lbs - Boston butt roasts, shoulder steaks, and pulled pork cuts
  • Belly (16%): ~30 lbs - Bacon, spare ribs, and fresh pork belly
  • Additional cuts: ~25 lbs - Ground pork, sausages, hocks, and organ meats (optional)

Standard vs. Custom Cut Sheets:

Standard Cut Sheet: Our family-tested mix including thick-cut bacon, center-cut chops, shoulder roasts for pulled pork, ground pork, and Italian sausage.

Custom Cut Sheet: Specify chop thickness, roast sizes, sausage flavors, curing preferences, and packaging sizes to match your family's needs.
