Traditional Methods - Quality Meats
Every animal on our farm has to pass the ultimate test: being good enough for our own dinner table. Our heritage breeds live with year-round outdoor access, rotational grazing, and stress-free environments that allow them to develop the natural marbling and complex flavors that made pork and lamb special for generations. This isn't just farming - it's how we feed our family.
Generations, One Standard
We're Ashley and Adam McFarland, and we believe great food creates great memories. Between Ashley's generational sheep farming background and Adam's commercial pig expertise, we know what it takes to raise animals right. More importantly, as parents of two little boys, we know what it's like to need dinner solutions that are both delicious and doable.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is your pork different from grocery store pork?
Our heritage Duroc genetics create natural marbling and rich flavor that commercial breeds simply can't match. Plus, our pigs live year-round with outdoor access and seasonal pasture, developing complex taste through stress-free living. The difference is immediately noticeable - this tastes like the pork your grandparents remember.
My family doesn't usually eat lamb. Will we like yours?
This is our most common question, and here's why we're confident: our lamb is specifically bred and raised to be tender and mild, not gamey. Our Hampshire and Dorset genetics, combined with rotational grazing and proper finishing, create lamb that even converts skeptical children. We regularly hear "we don't usually like lamb, but..." from customers.
Do I need a separate freezer for a whole or half animal?
A half pig (95lbs) fits comfortably in most standard kitchen freezers if you plan ahead. A whole pig (190lbs) typically requires a chest freezer or significant freezer space planning. Our smaller boxes (15-50lbs) work perfectly with regular freezer space.
Are your animals given hormones or antibiotics?
Never hormones. Antibiotics only in life-threatening situations where animal welfare demands it. Our management practices and genetics minimize the need for any medical intervention.
What makes your animals "show quality"?
Our breeding program focuses on superior genetics that win competitions. These same genetics that judges love also create superior meat quality - better marbling, optimal muscle development, and the kind of eating experience that makes dinner memorable.
Can I visit your farm?
Absolutely! We love having families visit during pickup appointments. Kids especially enjoy meeting the animals and seeing where their food comes from. Just coordinate with us when scheduling pickup.
